Laurel Firmenportrait Laurel Company Portrait Laurel wurde von Kurt und Margarete Lorber im Jahr 1952 gegründet. Der Firmenname „Laurel“ kommt aus dem Lateinischen und bedeutet „Lorbeer“. Die erste Büroklammer der Welt aus Kunststoff wurde vom Firmengründer Kurt Lorber erfunden, der dafür sein erstes internationales Patent erhielt. Nach der Verlegung des Firmensitzes 1957 nach Aichwald im Kreis Esslingen konnten die Verwaltungs- und Pro- duktionsgebäude laufend erweitert werden, so dass die Produktionsfläche heute 2.000 qm beträgt. Seit Oktober 2014 leitet die Tochter des Firmengründers Ulrike Lorber-Gee das Unternehmen. Laurel produziert ausschließlich in Deutschland. Konfektionierungs­ arbeiten werden teilweise von Behindertenwerkstätten ausgeführt. Das Herstellungsprogramm von Laurel umfasst heute 20 Produktgruppen mit 70 Artikeln. Die meisten unserer Produkte sind durch nationale und internationale Patente, Geschmacks- und Gebrauchsmuster geschützt. Laurel liefert in fast alle europäischen Länder, USA, Australien VAE und Japan. The company was founded in 1952 by Kurt and Margarete Lorber. The name of the company „Laurel“ is derived form Latin and is actually the translation of the German word „Lorbeer“ which closely resembles the family name. After transfer of the principal office to Aichwald in 1957 the administration and production building could be enlarged constantly so that the pro­ duction facilities are 2.000 qm today. Since October 2014, the daugther of company founder Ulrike Lorber-Gee leads the company. Laurel’s products are only made in Germany. Today Laurel’s production programme encompasses 20 product groups with 70 items in differing shapes and sizes. Most of our products are protected by national and international patents, registered designs and registered utility models. Laurel supplies its products to nearly all European counties, the USA, Australia, UEA and Japan.
