Laurel – the inventor of the plastic paper clip

Paper clips are ten a penny. But few are as ingeniously designed and colourful as our plastic paper clips!

The world’s first plastic paper clip was invented by the founder of our company, Kurt Lorber, who registered a patent for his design in 1953.

Paper clips were widely available at the time – but always made of metal, and often with a sharp tip. Not infrequently, important documents, contracts or historic letters were damaged by the use of rusty paper clips. Moreover, it was easy to hurt yourself on the sharp edges of the clips.

Neither can happen with our plastic paper clips. They leave no traces on your documents, are easy to remove, and are 100% recyclable.

Available in a wide range of shapes, sizes and colours, Laurel clips keep thick and thin stacks of paper neatly piled. And cut a good figure into the bargain.

See for yourself!
